In 2001 I knocked on the door of the working grain silos that now form part of the Zeitz Mocaa museum, and asked if I could walk around and take some photos. The manager on duty happily granted me access and in 1 afternoon I was able to shoot off 18 frames on my Nikon F4 of the working silos. At the time the trains were still pulling in to be loaded with grain. People worked in the bowels of the silos and viewed Cape Town from the highest floors. I might be mistaken but I believe these pictures to be the only pictures of the working silos.
