With the advent of the digital nomad, Bali is experiencing a mini explosion in both population and modernisation. Trendy cafés, and clothing stores line some of the streets, but never too far from rice paddies and temples. Western restaurants neighbour the local street kitchens. The one thing that hasn’t changed is the openness and friendliness of the welcoming locals. All of which make an interesting, colourful. And time warped destination. Here is what I saw during a visit to this Indonesian Island.
