So after countless, calls, emails and rejections those decision makers are still not getting what you’re trying to sell- or worse yet have barricaded themselves against your barrage of inquiries seeking a response to your proposal. You become, despondent, frustrated, depressed and feeling like everyone and everything is against you. You think to yourself, when is enough, when should I give up? or,  to hell with it all it’s all useless, I’ve had enough…!

If that stage is nearing here are two thoughts;

1. We’re nearing the Christmas season and corporates, PR companies and Ad agencies are forever looking for ideas to promote their brand. An idea linking a gift of a book to a companies brand could be a winner. If not Christmas then Easter, Pesach, Eid etc etc etc…

2. These are specific to sales statistics, taken globally but it applies just as well across anything! Perseverance is everything. Success is 20% inspiration and 80% perspiration but the perspiration is easy when the inspiration is there!!!!

48% of salespeople never follow up with a prospect.

25% of salespeople make a second contact and stop.

12% of salespeople only make three contacts and stop.

Only 10% of salespeople make more than three contacts.

Now get this…

2% of sales are made on the first contact.

3% of sales are made on the second contact.

5% of sales are made on the third contact.

10% of sales are made on the fourth contact.

But 80% of sales are made on the fifth to twelfth contact.

Never forget the dream and just keep at it!!!
